My 4 1/2 week old daughter used these when we flew in a 4 seat Piper Commanche airplane. She tolerated them very well and slept the entire 3 1/2 hour flight. I would recommend them for even very young infants.

My noise-sensitive 5 YO son with Asperger's used these at a concert soon after we bought them, very helpful! I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because I wish they were more portable (foldable, or something), but they must have been comfortable or he would not have tolerated them.

I purchased these "earmuffs" for my 5 year old prior to taking him to a "Walk with the Dinosaurs" show. It was very loud at times and my son was greatful for the earmuffs! We also used them in Disney World on a few rides and all the stunt shows and night shows (Indiana Jones Stunt show, fireworks, fantasmic, etc). I don't think my son would have enjoyed everything without having these on, as he does not like loud noises! I have been asked a lot where we got them. These are a definite must have for any kids!

I bought this light to locate pet stains in my house. Standard alkaline batteries installed without any of the problems noted in other reviews. The light itself seems built pretty solid and is very bright, capable of illuminating stains even in moderately lit rooms during daylight. Just make sure you're prepared for the disgusting things this baby can reveal. You can't un-see what this device will show you. Now onward to shopping for a good stain and odor remover. The horror.....the horror!

I'm very happy with this purchase.
I bought this so that I could see if there was any stains left in the carpet due to my dogs urinating on it. I have a steam-vac carpet cleaner and wanted to make sure it was doing its job.
There are a bunch of different UV / black-light flashlights out there, but this one seemed to have the most LED's for the price. And it takes AA batteries instead of AAA's. So it should be a lot brighter, and the batteries should last longer than other flashlights out there.
My results: The flashlight itself is very solid. It's made of metal. It is very bright and does exactly what I want. The beam is focused well. It showed me stains in the carpeting and the couch that I didn't know were there. It's so bright that I didn't have to even make the room completely dark. In fact, you can use this with your house's lights on, although it won't work as well.

This light can be opened from the bottom or the top to insert batteries. DO NOT OPEN THIS LIGHT FROM THE TOP! It is constructed in such a way that the wires spin around and snap apart as you unscrew the head. The seller should include instructions or the makers should seal the top so it cannot be opened. I had no problem inserting the three AA batteries as some other did but my light never came on. Broken wires in the flash light head. The casing is solid enough but the inner design is flawed. Light like this are usually reliable. I would recommend anyone who buys this light to remember NOT TO OPEN IT FROM THE HEAD like most flash lights, batteries can only be inserted from the bottom. Shipping was fine no problems.

I bought these Fulcrum lights because they were a cheaper alternative to the Sylvania Dot-It lights, I could get 3 for a little more than the price of one Dot-It. So these are the pros and cons of the Fulcrums compared to the Sylvanias.
Pros ---- -The Fulcrums look much the same as the Sylvanias. -Works the same; push down on the clear center area to turn on and off. -Light output seems the same, very good. -Unmarked, no words printed on front of the case.
Cons ---- -More cheaply made, plastic instead of aluminum. -AAA batteries are NOT included. You need 3 for each light. -Adhesive on the back of the Dot-Its seemed better.
By the way, don't stick the adhesive back sides of two of these lights together. They're VERY hard to get back apart...

Out of 3 lights, I am sorry to say that only one worked correctly. One would not come one, and one would not go off once I got it on. Difficult to remove the cover on 2 of them to get to the batteries. I had high hopes, but this time, just no luck.

Although Fulcrum may not have anticipated this use, they saved my life & sanity in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. When I bought them, I had intended to use them as extra light when doing garden work after dark as well as lights for my closet.
After Hurricane Ike intruded on my life, I found several other uses for them. Living 100 mi. inland allows me a pretty good buffer from the wrath of hurricanes. (I went through both Betsy & Camille in New Orleans as a child. I chose to pass on any future front row seats as an adult.) Prior to Ike We'd not had more than 8-12 hrs. of pwr ourage from storms in my neck of the woods. Try two weeks of life without electricity, and we were some of the lucky ones! These lights were light enough to carry around in my pocket so that I always had one handy. Since I have to walk with a cane, carrying a flashlight left me no hands to carry anything else.
